How did Sunlighten grow from a small start-up in the US to a wellness company that stands out across 22 countries?
Was there a secret to Sunlighten’s growth in Australia and New Zealand?
We are asked this by our valued customers who love our saunas and want to stay engaged with us.
In this post, we will deconstruct our television feature on the Industry Leaders Program.
Understanding the reasons behind our growth has helped us to delight existing customers while attracting new fans who are intrigued about our innovations.
There are many factors that have helped us develop our company, here are 3 in particular that have stood out.
Innovation / Research and Development
“You can now personalise a sauna to your requirements. You are in control of the temperature and the time. We also have six pre-set wellness programs and the ability to connect to Wi-Fi. You have entertainment access in there as far as Netflix or Facebook”
Sunlighten saunas are built on innovation and continuous improvement. From their inception in the early 2000s, Sunlighten have invested heavily in research and development to produce the most cutting-edge sauna technology on the market.
For example, the efficacy of Sunlighten infrared heaters has leapt ahead. The emissivity (the actual output of infrared) has reached levels of 99% in our most popular model, the mPulse. Most standard infrared saunas emit a portion of actual infrared as opposed to surface heat and hot air only. Sunlighten’s Solocarbon™ technology produces near perfect amounts of infrared output.
“..Because of the development of the products and the way that the company has grown, we are now in 22 countries around the world… it’s been a fabulous progression of a great product”
Beginning as a small start-up in the US, Sunlighten was established by our global CEO Aaron Zack and his wife Connie and her brother Jason Jeffers. Since then, the company has seen tremendous growth.
Sunlighten saunas were brought to Australia and New Zealand over fifteen years ago. Dealing with a global company means that you can trust and rely on Sunlighten to provide exceptional end-to-end service.
Also, being global means that Sunlighten have the volume to control end-to-end manufacture and quality of their products. From R&D, to sourcing of materials, through the entire manufacturing process to the final quality control inspection before the sauna is disassembled and flat packed ready for delivery.
A passion for helping people
“I’ve worked in software and finance for most my life… but helping people through these products means so much more. It’s a nice way to come to work every day when you’re dealing with people who are telling you how good they are feeling”
CEO Roseanne Fedrick spent many years working in other fields. However, since bringing the Sunlighten brand to Australia and New Zealand, she has cultivated her passion for helping others.
